This is a lightweight anodized aluminum cheeseplate designed to mount a Preston MDR using the Cinelock quick release system from 16x9 (not included.) The Cinelock quick release system is a favourite among camera assistants; they are commonly used with Noga arms or Ultralight arms for monitors, Cinetapes, and other camera accessories. The lock is easy to engage and disengage, and is very secure.
Your grey Cinelock quick release shoe is mounted to the cheeseplate with two included 1/4-20 flat camera screws. There are a multitude of mounting orientations for the Cinelock shoe, allowing you to offset and orient your MDR exactly the way you need. The cheeseplates also have fully-threaded 1/4-20 holes for other mounts such as Manfrotto plates, NATO rail, rod clamps, etc. so this cheeseplate is not limited to use with Cinelocks. The new V-Lock Wedge designed specifically for this cheeseplate allows your MDR to also click into V-lock docks like Wooden Camera's.
Mount your MDR with ease to the side of a camera. The new MDR3 Side Cheeseplate is perfect for mounting the MDR3 to back of an Alexa or Amira handle.
The MDR Cheeseplate includes 2 flat 1/4-20 camera screws, a reducer bushing, and Phillips screws to mount the cheeseplate to your MDR. The MDR Cheeseplate is available in the below versions:
MDR4 Cheeseplate: CAD $100 each (approx USD $77)
MDR3 Cheeseplate: CAD $145 each (approx USD $111)
MDR3 Side Cheeseplate: CAD $65 each (approx USD $50)
MDR2/MDR1 Cheeseplate: CAD $150 each (approx USD $115)
